Prayer for Protection from Spiritual Wickedness
Hallelujah, Lord GOD Almighty,
Creator of Heaven and Earth!
You seest in secret and triest the reins and the heart, incline Thine ear unto me.
Hear my prayer before those of mine enemies; for I offer sacrifices of righteousness, but they offer empty prayers.
Hide me in Thy pavilion from the strife of tongues. Deliver me from the secret counsel of the wicked—from watchers and whisperers, from spying eyes and prying ears, from lurking men and contentious women, from jealous glances and crafty lips. Set a hedge of fire round about my dwelling; compass my path with angels; order my steps aright.
Break the nets of surveillance; let their devices fail; let their recordings be as wind and their data as chaff before Thy whirlwind. Blind the evil eye; confound jealousy; turn back every gaze that seeketh my hurt. Let every curse uttered against me return unto nothing; crush enchantments; scatter every spell as smoke driven away.
Set a watch, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips, that I answer not railing with railing. Muzzle the talebearer; silence the whisperer; let slander melt as wax before the fire. Give me a clean heart and a fearless tongue, that I may bless and not revile, and yet stand firm in Thy truth.
Gird Thou me with Thy whole armour: truth about my loins, righteousness upon my breast, feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, the helmet of salvation for my mind, Above all, grant me a double dose of you word, two Swords of the Spirit. No weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue that riseth against me in judgment Thou shalt condemn; for my vindication is of Thee.
I crucify my flesh daily; I die to pride, wrath, lust, envy, and vainglory—leaving ample room for the Holy Spirit. Fill me with Thy Holy Spirit. Make me a temple Fit for Thy dwelling; write Thy law upon my inward parts; let the fruit of the Spirit flourish in me: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.
Be a wall of fire round about me and the glory in the midst of me. Hide me under the shadow of Thy wings until iniquity be overpast. Cause mine enemies to fall into the pits they have digged; let their counsels be turned into confusion, while I pass by safely, giving thanks unto Thee.
I offer the sacrifices of righteousness!!
For Thou, hast dealt bountifully with me;
Thou hast lifted up my head and made my path straight.
